ABOUT FOVERAN SCHOOL

Head Teacher's Welcome,

Foveran School serves the village of Foveran and the surrounding rural area. The majority of our pupils live within the school’s catchment area, but we do cater for out of zone pupils.

The majority of our pupils transfer to Ellon Academy at the end of their primary schooling and benefit from a comprehensive transition programme which has been established between Ellon Academy and the feeder primaries.

The school is split into two classes, P1–4 and P5-7. We have a teaching Head Teacher, Head Teacher Relief and a Class Teacher. The school benefits from having a wide range of visiting specialist teachers in Learning Support, Modern Languages, Music, Art, Drama, etc.

I joined Foveran school in November 2012 from the post of Acting Head Teacher in Marykirk School.  Before that I was a teacher at Dunnottar School (Stonehaven) for eight years teaching every stage from P1 to P7.  I aim to provide the pupils with experience and guidance that develops them into becoming responsible citizens, effective contributors, confident individuals and successful learners.

Sincerely,

Mr David Williams
